The seaside town of Poole is dominated by one of the world's biggest natural harbours, which includes five pine clad islands and boat trips. The largest of these islands is Brownsea Island, where Baden Powell began the Scout Movement. To the west is the 'Isle of Purbeck', which offers scenic countryside, dotted with villages and stunning seascapes, plus Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Corfe Castle are well worth a visit. The local beaches at Sandbanks provide facilities for all kinds of watersports.
