“Food was good value and excellent for the price. The hotel has an amazing 1930's ambience and a lovely sheltered outside area; where if you are lucky, you can watch a Spitfire taxi and take off in front you while you sip your beer!”

“Just spent two days at the Aviator for work and I must say we found it to be very good, it’s a gem of a place all done out in 1930’s decor very clean and if you like aviation it’s the place to be, staff we’re fantastic room was very clean and the food was amazing highly recommend this place, the entrance is via an industrial area but don’t let that put you off it’s worth a try 👍”

“As someone who loves both aviation and Art Deco, I loved how both the hotel block and restaurant/reception building were in that style (the restaurant/reception building being an original 1930s one, but with lots of nice aviation-themed details, very well preserved and while the hotel block was a modern addition, it was done in the same style). The room was spacious, bed comfortable, heating set just right and surroundings quiet at night. Breakfast in the restaurant was not included in room price but at less than 10 pounds good value (and with a decent choice of buffet and full English). Restaurant has a view to the airfield so you could get lucky and see some aircraft take off or taxiing there.”
