“The location was superb, 2 minutes to the harbour, shops and restaurants.The acces to drop off luggage a bit tricky, but pass for car park 5 minutes away was great. The cottage was very clean, well equipped. The beds and showers were very good. The instructions for the cottage were detailed and easy to understand. Mevagissey and the sourounding bays and coastal walks are lovely. We had a very enjoyable stay.”

“We stayed at the Backlet in July 2021, two adults and two teenage girls, this was a first stay and won’t be our last, it’s a lovely fisherman’s cottage, right smack in the middle of the village, everything you need is max 2 mins walk !!! The property was spotless clean on arrival and has everything you need for a couple of weeks stay, there is no parking outside but that’s normal in Cornwall but the included parking permit is easy to use and it’s a very very short walk to the car park, I reversed my car down the street to unload our bags and that was easy to manage, overall couldn’t pick a fault, the village is stunning, and location of the Backlet was perfect, the communication from the property host was amazing and made the whole process smooth and hassle free ! 5*”

Great accomodation with all the necessary facilities provided washer/dryer, dishwasher etc. Beautiful fishing village with some great restaurants and a great base to explore surrounding part of Cornwall. Loved our stay and would definitely return to The Backlet in future.”
