Unfortunately, this showed up as open on booking while it was closed. But the owners replied so quickly that this was not a problem. They did this while on vacation abroad themselves. So still a good experience for me and I would consider this place again upon returning to Hawick.
SwitzerlandWhat a delight! The Bank Guest House has tons of character and unique touches. We spent 2 nights in Bedroom 1, a beautiful room on the top floor overlooking High Street. Very spacious with huge windows, comfy couch, fireplace. We had 2 beds, by request, and both were very comfortable. Donna is the ultimate host. So accommodating and helpful! We arrived early, and despite the fact that she was still cleaning the rooms, she let us come in and even wrestled our luggage up the stairs! She serves a delicious breakfast with plenty of choices for big and small appetites. The location is perfect for walking around the town. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. I would highly recommend The Bank Guest House, and I will definitely stay there again, but for longer than just 2 nights!

Unfortunately for Donna, due to the coronavirus crisis the b&b wasn’t busy.....in fact we were the only guests but this wasn’t a problem at all and our lovely host gave us a lovely room upgrade from the one we booked! Nothing was too much trouble from start to finish and we will definitely be back!

One of our top picks in Hawick. Built in 1857, this guest house started life as a Royal Bank of Scotland building. This fully converted property in the heart of Hawick offers stylish luxurious bedrooms, designer toiletries, free Wi-Fi, and wholesome breakfasts.
