The Big Barn at Porthcurno Barns - Family run spacious and cosy barn conversion nestled in a peaceful seaside hamlet walking distance to the stunning Porthcurno, Pedn Vounder beaches and the Minack Theatre. Plenty of walks on the doorstep across the SW Coastal Path. The highly rated Logan Rock Inn pub is 5 mins walk across the fields and Sennen Cove surf beach is less than 10 mins drive. The Big Barn has just undergone complete renovation and refurbishment. It is reverse level so there are views of the ocean and countryside from the living area. The barn is exceptionally spacious and suits a large family or couples/friends. There are brand new smart electric radiators and superfast WiFi throughout the property. There is parking outside the Barn for up to 3 cars. The spacious lounge has a comfy 6 seater corner sofa, dining area, 60" TV (BT Entertainment package, Netflix and NOW TV) and wood burner. The master bedroom has a king bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. The second and third bedroom have a king and double bed. The main bathroom includes a bath and shower. There is a large utility area with an 9kg washing machine, dryer, clothes airer, hoover and ironing board/iron etc. All our barns have fridge freezer, dishwasher, BBQ, outdoor seating area, tap and clothes line. There is a large selection of board games and books in each barn. Guests also have use of the large lawn in front of the barn with its football goal post and swing set. We provide football, volleyball, badminton rackets, beach tennis rackets, a net, buckets and spades and bodyboards. We also provide: - bed sheets, bath towels, soap and loo rolls - tea, coffee, some Nespresso capsules, sugar, local eggs and milk, cooking oil, herbs, salt and pepper, kitchen towel, dishwasher tablets and cleaning products - washing powder, softener - 1 large bag of logs with fire lighters - more logs can be purchased from us at cost - highchair(s), travel cot(s) other bedding) and nappy bin for infants
Hello- We are Harriet and Sylvain. We live in the Farmhouse at Porthcurno Barns with our 2 sons Noah and Louis. We recently moved to Cornwall to grow our family and spend more time outdoors. We love the wilderness of West Cornwall and that it's the perfect location for surfing, swimming, cycling and coastal walks. We look forward to welcoming you to Porthcurno Barns and will be on hand for anything you need to ensure you have a relaxing stay.
On our doorstep (10-20 mins walk): - Porthcurno and Pedn Vounder beaches - Minack Theatre - PK Porthcurno Museum and cafe - Southwest coastal path walks and its beautiful coves and beaches - The Logan Rock Inn Pub in Treen If you want to venture further afield by car: *Land's End (5 mins) *Sennen Cove (10 mins) - great surf beach (with surf schools, surfboards, bodyboard and wetsuit rental) , cafes and pubs *St Buryan Farm Shop and a well-stocked Londis (10 mins) *Cape Cornwall and St. Just (15 mins) - award winning butchers and cafes *Newlyn (15 mins) - restaurants (including the Michelin Star Tavistock Inn), cafes, and fresh fish markets *Treriefe House *Trewidden Gardens and Cafe * Tremenheere Sculpture Garden *Penzance (15 mins) - the main town with shops, restaurants and large supermarkets * Marazion and St Michael's Mount (25 mins) *Porthleven, St Ives and Hayle (30 mins) *We are a 10 minute drive to the A30 - the main road which takes you directly to all other areas of Cornwall There are regular farmers markets at Sennen, St Buryan and Treriefe House selling locally grown produce and handmade items, which are well worth checking out.
