Location in the centre of the city, with convenient parking made the week-end. Places to eat were yards away, for breakfast and evening meals. York's main attractions were only minutes walk away. The apartment was spacious and everything we needed was available with a lovely welcome pack to start the weekend - thank you.

In York’s historic center, Franklins Apartments are a 5-minute walk from the Jorvik Viking Center. Awarded 5 Star Gold by Visit England, the stylish self-catering apartments feature free Wi-Fi access. Each spacious apartment features a seating area with a flat-screen TV, a fully fitted kitchen, and a bathroom with Molton Brown toiletries. If required, Bathrobes are available with advance notice prior to arrival. The modern kitchens have an oven, microwave and refrigerator, and kitchenware is provided. On arrival, guests will receive a chilled bottle of sparkling wine as well as a welcome basket of locally sourced produce such as artisan bread, handmade biscuits and jam, eggs, butter, farmhouse yogurts, still and sparkling water. A selection of tea, coffee and Nespresso pods is also provided with compliments. Franklins Apartments are located in the exclusive Franklins Yard area of York, beside the River Foss. Free on-site parking is available, and the magnificent York Minster is within a 5-minute walk.

Nestled in Franklins Yard, tucked behind vibrant Fossgate in the heart of the historic York, Franklins Apartments offer a choice of interior designed apartments with sumptuous soft furnishings and varying individual characteristics; Studios with four poster king-sized beds, free-standing baths & riverside views, One bedroom apartments with original vaulted ceilings, and our Maisonette accommodation appointed over two floors, with a free standing bath. Each of our apartments have their own private bathroom (with bath and/or shower) and a fitted kitchen equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine and all the built in appliances you’ll need for a comfortable stay. Whether you prefer to put your feet up, relax and enjoy your surroundings or head into the City to sample some Yorkshire specialities, our kitchens are equipped to offer guests the option of simply grabbing a coffee before heading out for the day or equally rustling up a gourmet meal to enjoy at the dining table in each apartment after a long day exploring the City. Our beds are layered in crisp white linens and plumped pillows, whilst our bathrooms offer Molton Brown toiletries, luxury bathrobes and Egyptian cotton towels.

York is a beautiful historic City with Roman roots and a Viking past, filled with culture, art, history and heritage as well as a varied and vibrant calendar of events and festivals throughout the year. Fossgate even has its own regular street Festival held on the first Sunday of each month during the summer. Combine this with boutique shopping, a huge variety of cosy bistros and pubs and you’ll be spoiled for choice of things to see and do during your stay; all located within just a short walk of our apartments. For those who prefer to venture further afield, the glorious Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and Wolds are on doorstep of the City and easily accessible by a variety of methods of transport.
