The cottage decor was beautiful, a home from home. The beds were so comfortable. It was so clean. It was warm and had all kinds of nice home comforts. The owner had kindly left a cake, box of chocolate and wine and beer for us to enjoy. It was very generous.

The Bolthole is an inviting converted barn in the tiny hamlet of Wonson, close to Throwleigh and the open moor. The cottage sleeps four people in two super king-size bedrooms, one of which can be made up as a twin on request. On the ground floor is a sitting room with original beams, a wood burning stove and a kitchen with dining area. Outside is a lawned garden gravel seating area with furniture and barbecue. The Bolthole is a super base for exploring Dartmoor or visiting the city of Exeter on a Devon break.

Neighborhood info

A picturesque town at the northern point of Dartmoor National Park in Devon, Chagford is small in size but is packed with amenities and things to do. There is a wide range of shops as well as four pubs. Chagford also has more active facilities such as public tennis court and an open-air swimming pool to enjoy at your leisure.
