"The Bonnie Thistle" is a newly refurbished, 1st floor apartment in a Victorian tenement. Decorated to a high standard it sleeps up to 2 adults and 1 child. The super king size bed in the bedroom can be set up as a double or 2 singles while the sofa bed in the open plan living room/kitchen can sleep 1 child. A travel cot can be also be provide. The kitchen is fully equipped with Smeg dual fuel cooker, washing machine dryer, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge. The breakfast bar provides a pleasant area to dine. The modern bathroom has a shower and heated towel rail. Being less than a mile or ten minute walk from Princes Street, the historic Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament it is ideally located for tourists. On an excellent bus route (No.35 airport bus & Edinburgh tour bus run close by) allowing access to all parts of the city and beyond. A car isn't necessary as Edinburgh's main attractions are within walking distance. There is no allocated parking space however, when available on street parking is free. There are numerous restaurants and bars close by making this holiday apartment ideally situated for you to make the most of all Edinburgh has to offer.

Ian has an extensive knowledge of Scottish history and geography and can offer tours of the city and further a field by separate arrangement. A pick up service to and from the station or airport is also available by separate arrangement.
Abbeyhill is a popular City Centre district conveniently situated between Calton Hill and Holyrood Park. At the end of prestigious Regent Terrace Lyne Street is a quiet cul de sac. Easter Road and Meadowbank are only a few minutes walk away and both provide a variety of local and larger supermarket shopping opportunities. Princes Street, The Omni centre, The Playhouse Theatre, Waverley Station and numerous tourist attractions are a walk away. Excellent sporting and recreational facilities are available within the immediate vicinity. The newly opened Arts and Vintage cafe at the end of the street provides an ideal stop for refreshments. An excellent bus service runs along the nearby London Road and includes a bus taking you directly to the airport. The official Edinburgh tour bus runs very close by too. The popular Portobello beech can be easily reached in 20 minutes by car or bus. On street parking is usually available but not guaranteed. Given the central location of the property a car isn't necessary as so much is within walking distance or can be accessed by public transport. There are several secure carparks nearby can be utilised by guests.
