Tucked away on the edge of Trelonk Estate and on the fringe of the River Fal, The Brickworks Cottage is the perfect destination to achieve feelings of peace and tranquility. You will be spoilt with wildlife, stunning views and a truly peaceful escape.​ The cottage itself is built on the grounds of an old brickworks. A brickwork existed on the perimeter of the Trelonk Estate, on the edge of the Fal estuary between 1891 and 1907. The china clay extraction led to tons of quality clay being washed down the river. The lost clay was dredged from the river and mixed with other components to form bricks. Today, all that is left is the tall chimney once used to draw air through the kilns to keep the temperature rising, and the silt in the ground.

Immerse yourself in the history of spitfires with guided access to our hangar and learn about our new constructions and restoration of the St Ives Mk Vb Spitfire. The Estate has an onsite Cafe, Wild Cornwall. Here you are able to order breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or even browse their local and homemade product range.

Based between the city of Truro and The Roseland hotspot, St Mawes; you have the perfect choice of spending your days in either a city or by the seaside. The only city in Cornwall, Truro, is built up with shops, tasty restaurants snd history. Truro's most striking feature is the Cathedral. Dominating Truro's skyline, the towers reach a staggering 250 foot. The south aisle of the cathedral is what remains of St Mary’s Church, said to be one of the finest pieces of medieval architecture in Cornwall. Today Truro retains its standing as a market town and is main shopping town of Cornwall with much of the city centre converted to pedestrian areas. There is a large indoor market on Lemon Quay and occasional farmers’ markets close by. In addition to the major stores and chains such as Marks and Spencers, there are still many small individual shops to be found down the narrow streets of Truro. The village of St Mawes looks out over the stunning River Fal, towards Falmouth. In recent years, St Mawes has become a popular tourist destination with good restaurants, attractive shops and a number of galleries.
