The host was also the owner and cared about her guests. I like the quaint and personal atmosphere of the entire inn. The restaurant was excellent and adjoining pub was truly English style. The whole experience was very nice.

John & Norma King
The Bull's Head is a superb, family owned, 18th century Country Inn, set amidst Shropshire's rolling hills, with stunning views over the Severn Valley, Clee Hills & Chelmarsh Reservoir. At the Bull's Head you will find a combination of well-appointed guestrooms, holiday cottages and self-catering accommodation perfect for leisure seekers or corporate guests travelling on business as we are located just 20 minutes from Telford. Our facilities include ground-floor facilities for the disabled, excellent food, real ales & fine wines that attract regular visitors for touring, fishing, walking & cycling holidays. The 18th century Inn has many original features, including exposed beams, stonewalls and wood-burning fires in the bar areas, where a good range of traditional beers and fine wines are served from 12.00 noon throughout the day, all year. Please note that the Inn will not accept bookings for 'Stag' or 'Hen' parties and will not tolerate any bad behaviour that intimidates or causes any embarrassment to the detriment of other Guests, Customers or Staff.
Norma and John acquired 'The Bull's Head' in 2006, and along with their son Richard and an incredible team of dedicated staff, have established a busy, welcoming and friendly ambience, for visitors and locals alike. When the opportunity arises, John sometimes gets to play with his old band, and when Norma removes the electronic tag from his ankle he can be found on the golf course, ever trying to improve his handicap. Son Richard is an ex-professional snooker player, and spends most of his leisure time with his wife and three wonderful children. Unable to dedicate the practice time required to play snooker at the same level he attained, Richard plays 8 ball Pool, and in 2016 reached the semi-finals of the 8 Ball World Championships. Norma loves to spend any spare time with her grandchildren, the occasional visit to the spa, and has always had a penchant for good food!
There is much to see and do in Bridgnorth and the surrounding towns including Ironbridge, Much Wenlock and Ludlow. From Chelmarsh there are numerous attractive places and towns of special interest and natural or man-made beauty, all within a relatively short driving distance. Bridgnorth is set on two levels, High Town & Low Town, and the fantastic funicular railway will take you effortlessly between the two, the Severn Valley. Enjoy the great views over the Severn Valley, the busy throng on market days with local produce and antiques, the numerous pubs and restaurants, interesting shops, and the castle ruins. The popular Severn Valley Steam Railway station is in Low Town, and well worth day's trip along the magnificent Severn Valley into Bewdley & Kidderminster. The beautiful market town of Much Wenlock with its ancient Wenlock Priory is definitely worth a visit. Shrewsbury, the county town of Shropshire has a wealth of beautiful black and white buildings, and has been called England’s finest Tudor Town. Shrewsbury hosts more than 100 different events during the year, including the Arts Festival, the world-famous Shrewsbury Flower Show in August, and the Cartoon Festival.
