although I was only there for a short time I enjoyed my stay. the town was close to my hotel and it was clean and tidy. there is plenty to do if you have children. I had a meal at the local chip shop which I believe was called geo on the main high ST. very good food and service. I visited some shops and the staff in the shops where in good spirits and helped the customers.

We just wanted a couple of quiet nights away,
For a family with young children who are on a budget it’s a good way to get away for a few days. Weather plays a big part but the beach isn’t bad, the pier and amusements can easily kill a rainy afternoon plenty of places to eat and drink Fairly cheap and basic seaside town but it’ll keep the kids happy

I think Clacton-on-Sea is a lovely town.
I think Clacton-on-Sea is a lovely town. The garden walk at the seafront is beautiful any time of the year; there are plenty of seats. There are loads of reasonable restaurants in Clacton and lots of activities for children. There is a very good Wetherspoon pub near the seafront. A good range of shops.

Vastly improved, very friendly, some excellent restaurants and food. Great beaches that are sandy ! I would not spend time on the pier, but its been restored very well, and huge gaming area and rides etc.

Clacton not too bad.
Clacton not too bad. But Jaywick where the caravan was is terrible, down and out people everywhere and run down properties. Fly tipping on the road to site.
We had two nights but only stayed one night as couldn’t wait to get home

Clacton On Sea Is Beautiful Place And To Visited And To Stay Sometimes it good to get away to have a holiday and a break the people was so polite and friendly and caring and kind And Respectful and Helpful
Lovely Singing Groups and the arcades was lovely and very clean staff was very helpful and polite and friendly and very cheerful people
The caravan is very spacious, plenty of room in the open plan kitchen living room, nice terrace too and the kitchen is fully equipped if you like cooking. The walk to the seafront is about 45 minutes but you can always order a cab as well. Location of the caravan is right next to all facilities on camp which is very big. The owner who greeted us and gave us the keys was very nice and friendly which frankly started our experience on a very positive note. Highly recommend this place, you'll be surprised about what is has to offer.
Lovely room and a great breakfast. I do wish I had stopped a few days, as was a quiet location away from the main busy area of Clacton, A nice walk along the front soon brought you to the main tourist area. Plenty car parking of which you have to log your car detail in at reception. Staff in reception and bar and in restaurant were all lovely, and made sure you were catered for. I am considering staying again here and maybe at some of their other hotels as well later in the year
The restaurant linked to the hotel is decorated beautifully!!!! Flowers everywhere and covering the whole ceiling. And the breakfast included in the stay was really lovely too. It was a nice view from the balcony and very close to the sea front. I enjoyed that there was a pub just downstairs which was cheap to drink in. Water and hot drinks available within the room which was nice. It’s nice and modern in the reception area and hall ways.
Everything! The hosts Sofia and Paul were lovely, very personable and accommodating. The guesthouse is the perfect location for the beach and city centre. The room was clean/tidy and had everything we needed for breakfast. The bed was very comfortable too. Shower was spacious with instant hot water, unlike bigger hotels we've stayed in previously. This is one accommodation we couldn't find fault with.
This guest house was amazing! The hosts made me feel very welcome and catered to all my needs without asking. The room was very clean and modern. There were complimentary snacks and drinks in the room. The breakfast was exceptional and was made at the time you requested it.
I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Clacton on sea and the surrounding area.
Room was large and spacious, bed comfortable and clean. Only problem was the shower too small .Breakfast was brilliant and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The area was ok we found a restaurant nearby but on the whole found Clacton-On-Sea a bit tacky.
The hotel was run by a lovely very friendly and welcoming couple. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. Couldn’t fault it at all, I will be back next time I’m in Clacton. The location was also perfect for my requirements.
Lovely staff in reception couldnt do enough. Very quiet location and room was very comfortable and clean. Would recommend the hotel. Easy parking and few minutes drive to Clacton seaside and great access to shops, two minute walk.
Location was just off the Clacton seafront, so walking out for dinner and to the beack, amusements etc was ideal. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast very good. Room very clean and in excellent order.
We stayed in a suite with a sea view. The room was fabulous. The staff were absolutely fantastic. It was a special Birthday with my mum and my sister and we had a super time. Thank you all at Royal Hotel.
I actually liked the rustic feel of the hotel, but I can see how it wouldn’t be for everyone. It was incredibly close to pubs, the beach, restaurants, I loved that. The staff were friendly too.
We have been looking for a place to stay around Clacton on Sea, now we have found a gem. The premises was immaculate, breakfast great. Thanks Kirk, who is the perfect host.
