This Georgian mansion is in York city center. It mixes original features with modern style and facilities, including car parking and free Wi-Fi. The house was originally built around 1827, and it mixes original character and high ceilings with modern luxury. It has many historical artifacts associated with Winston Churchill, and each room has a flat-screen TV and modern bathroom. The award-winning brasserie serves fresh, locally sourced, seasonal Yorkshire food in a modern British style. The Wellington Bar offers a wide range of drinks. The Churchill Hotel has a newly-opened, large beer garden with wood burning pizza oven for sunny days. The Churchill Hotel is in beautiful, quiet grounds. York Minster is 2297 feet away and the shops and restaurants are a short walk from the hotel. York Racecourse is 10 minutes' drive away.
