The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was great. The room was comfortable. Free WiFi and tv. Tea and coffee. I had a breakfast included in the price, I was really happy with. The decor and atmosphere of the whole hotel was very good. There's a menu for the cooked breakfast, I had a very tasty vegetarian breakfast that tasted very good. There was also cereals fruit juices tea coffees and toast.

The City Hotel is a lively hotel located in the heart of Dunfermline, just 350 feet from Pittencrieff Park.

Built in 1775 the City Hotel has 32 rooms. They feature flat-screen TVs, WiFi access, trouser presses and tea/coffee making facilities.

Weavers bar and restaurant has an extensive menu and offers a wide variety of dishes. There is a balcony for al fresco dining and a traditional Scottish breakfast is included in the room rate.

There are more than 40 golf courses within a 45 minute drive of the hotel. Edinburgh is just a 15-minute drive and there are numerous restaurants within a 5-minute walk. The Forth Street is 2,800 feet away. The Fife coast is also within easy reach.

  • Hi what the difference in the exec room and king room please. I want a high floor preferably no one above us and shower, after a quiet room.

  • Good morning, do you have free parking available on 6-7 July? I’m limited in walking or using stairs due to a slipped disc. Thank you Peter

    There is free parking which is offered on a first come, first served basis. There are 2 flights of stairs into the hotel & another 2 up to the first floor rooms & being a period building, there is not a lift. There are no rooms on the ground floor.

  • Do you have parking available? I will be travelling in a single car transporter

    Yes, however spaces are offered first come first served. Parking would be possible if car transporter was detached and parked beside your vehicle. Please contact hotel to discuss further.

  • Hi do you have free parking ?? Also how far is Edinburgh zoo away from you Thanks Scott

    The hotel has limited free parking at the rear of the hotel which is not reservable. There is also a large pay and display car park to the rear of the hotel which is free between 6pm and 8am in the morning. Edinburgh Zoo is approx 20 miles away.

    Limited free parking at the hotel offered on a first come first served basis, Large pay and display car park to the rear of the hotel. This car park is free from 6pm to 8am Mon to Sat and 1pm-5pm on Sundays. The price for 4 hours plus is £3.80.
