Great place if you want to be close to oxford but out in the country..nice rooms with small kitchen and facilities. Staff in the pub were great, despite having short staff so not having food all the time they have setup access from other places to be delivered.. breakfast was excellent.

We had a family room with a queen size bed and a sofa bed. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was upgraded. The surroundings are very nice if you want to walk on the property.

The room was really cozy & clean, it had everything & more than we could have needed. It was quiet & our little girl loved the play area. It was a lovely place to stay, the staff were really polite, I would highly recommend staying there. It was the 4th place that we stayed on our holiday & definitely the best.

Company info

The Clifden Arms is a freehouse owned by a group of individuals who live in the village. Our aim is to keep the village pub alive and create a warm, inviting, family friendly place for locals and guests from further afield.

Property info

The Clifden Arms public house is a timber framed building with brick noggin and thatched roof. The older part is medieval and the newer wing was added in the 17th century . The pub’s current name is more recent, being derived from an 18th or 19th century Viscount Clifden who was the heir to the advowson of the parish of Worminghall. The B&B is newly refurbished and in a red brick barn adjacent to the pub. ​
