“Stayed mid-July in the Thomas Gainsborough. We were initially apprehensive about not booking our usual self-catering, given the pandemic. These worries were alleviated immediately upon arrival when we saw the safety measures in place. The food is excellent. Noticing I passed my mushrooms onto my partner's plate, Diana thoughtfully omitted them from my breakfast the next day : ) There was a limited dinner menu but we never had the same meal twice. Most of the non-residential guests ordered their food to the seated area in the opposite field. After eating indoors we took our drinks over to watch the sunset. The area is very peaceful, only interrupted by the occasional light aircraft overhead which we enjoyed watching from our suntrap patio area.”
