“It had a historical link to Lord Armstrong but had been beautifully restored and updated. My room the Cheviot had the biggest bed I’d ever slept in and a lovely roll too bath. It also had 3 beautiful windows over the hills. The evening meal was well prepared and good value. Demi the staff member who I though was a young manager was amazing. She should be valued and encouraged to stay as she is a huge asset to the hotel. I know hospitality staff are notoriously underpaid but this girl deserves a pay rise. Would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Northumbria. ”
