“Period pub located in the centre of town that is easily accessible. Bedroom was generous in size and is decorated in period style with a battle of Trafalgar theme, but still had all the modern amenities, such as a large walk in shower. Plenty of tea and coffee making facilities provided in the room that were topped up every day along with bottled water. Good choice of cooked breakfast every morning and great restaurant menu. On site parking facilities.”

“Traditional English pub in period building that has been updated to provide all mod cons. Room was huge with equally spacious bathroom. Plenty of tea and coffee making facilities in room, including a Nespresso machine, with fresh milk provided every day. Good breakfast with various cooked choices and a continental option provided as well, the restaurant food was also good with a wide range of offerings on the menu.”

“We needed to stop one night in the area after buying a car and decided to stay at the Crown. Wow - what a find. It was fabulous. Really lovely old coaching inn with bags of character and atmosphere. We stayed in room 4, which was wonderful. Spacious, very clean, comfy bed and great big bathroom. Bar was lovely with a great buzz and breakfast fantastic. We had an evening meal in the bar too, which was very good. Staff all incredibly friendly. The town itself is charming, with the Crown in walking distance to all amenities and pleasant walks. ”
