“Beautifully done up rooms with extraordinary decor (original woodcuts from a local artist, a merino wool blanket - that kind of thing which you don't expect in a hotel). Shower was excellent and the bathroom clean (though the tap was a bit loose). Room was generously sized. Breakfast absolutely fantastic on day one, day two a bit less so - but still excellent choice and very substantial. Garden outside great for mellow evenings. Good place from which to strike out to other places on the Suffolk coast. Check out the printing press that looks out onto the car park!”

We enjoyed our evening meal in the 'snug' area, appreciating the well-varied menu. All but one of the staff were friendly and helpful. Dave, the manager, dealt sympathetically with our problems, some of which suggested a staff member's inexperience or incompetence regarding billing.”
