Attention to detail was superb--there were lots of little things around the room that made it that little bit lovelier. The room itself was very clean and well-furnished. I had a lovely tranquil breakfast in their dining room the next morning.

Located on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, The Fairfax Arms offers 4-star accommodations and a traditional, oak-beamed bar. It has peaceful gardens, and is a 30-minute drive from York.
