The room (Rm 101) was spacious, overlooked the seafront and extremely well equipped. The large shower was excellent. The room itself was [almost] perfect. Of particular note were the specialist reading lights beside the bed (often missing in the best hotels). The picture shows view from our window. The serve yourself continental breakfast was fine but not exciting. We stayed on a Friday night and on returning to our hotel after dinner out found a superb jazz party going on in the bar led by a lady who performs there every Friday evening.

An private bathroom, TV and tea/coffee making facilities are provided in each room at The Fairhaven. Rock climbing, cycling and pony trekking can all be enjoyed in the local area, as well a boat ride along the famous Jurassic Coast. Many bars and clubs can be found within the town center, and many offer themed nights and live music from local bands.
