  • Hi we have a wedding to attend in October and was wondering I have a disabled mum who struggles a little bit with stairs are there many stairs at the property many thanks

    Hi there, There are about 12 steps down to the front door. There is a hand rail. A picture of this is on booking.com. There are no further steps. I hope this helps I am happy to send further photos.

    Yes there are. There is an Italian and an Indian restaurant in the next village Beamish, potential walking distance. There are also other restaurants at Beamish Hall Stables bar and restaurant.

  • Hi I have a very well behaved small King Charles cavalier would you consider. It will be me and my husband we are taking them to beamish museum.

    I am sorry pets are not allowed at the Fairways due to our lease agreement. Kind regards Andy

  • Hi, My mum and my Auntie can’t climb stairs, although it states ground floor it does look like there are steps on the photos? Look forward to your reply, thank you.

    Yes very good question. It is a ground floor apartment but it is built into the side of a hill which means there are steps down to the main entrance. There is no level path into it. I am sorry it may prove difficult for your mum and auntie.

The Fairways is in a ideal location, it is just over a mile from Beamish Museum. It is in a rural location in North Durham area, 20 minutes drive from Durham City, 15 minutes drive from Durham County Cricket Club, 25 minutes drive from the City of Newcastle and Gateshead Metro Centre. It is surrounded by golf clubs, Roseberry, Beamish, Lumley to name a few. There are walks and cycle ways straight from the front door and plenty of woodland and countryside to explore. The Fairways is a quiet and peaceful place to relax and unwind. It has free wifi throughout. It sleep four, this can be two doubles, or one double and two singles or four singles - we do need advanced warning. Clean towels and toiletries are provided along with tea, coffee and milk in the kitchen. We love the property and would stay in it ourselves if we didn't live closeby! We want all our guests to enjoy it. We do have a key safe and the code for this will be text to you on the day you are due to arrive.
