We had a wonderful four night stay. Robin and Jane are amazing and breakfast each morning was a pure delight. We booked the first evening dinner at the Fire Cat which is cooked by Robin, was so fabulous we booked dinner for a further night. Can’t wait to come back and stay again! Is a beautiful gem of a place.

1. The location - The Firecat country house is located in a corner of paradise. Truly picturesque. 2. The establishment - Very charming and rustic cottage style. The place was extremely clean and the bed was so comfortable. The COVID safety measures are definitely in place. 3. The host - Robin & Jane are really friendly. They made us feel comfortable and welcome but also made sure we enjoyed our time. 4. The food - Diner is available at the location and must be book in advance as Chef Robin will order the freshest and local quality ingredients to prepare his famous Westcoast Risotto of Saltmarsh Mutton and other dishes of his seasonal menu. And a tasty and large breakfast in the morning. Overall we had a great experience and recommend the The Firecat country house. We will come back soon, probably to take on mount Snowdon this time.

The hosts were lovely, friendly warm people. The food was absolutely amazing, the evening meal was so well balanced and delicious and the breakfast was the best we have ever had at a b&b. The rooms were immaculate and very cosy with all the facilties we could need. The views were beautiful, it was lovely to see the animals roaming in the fields nearby and hear and see the river nearby. We didn't want to go home!

Beautiful location, lovely rooms and fantastic food. Very grateful to Robin and Jane for being such great hosts and making us feel very welcome.

Very nice room, clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was first-rate, could not fault it. One of the best selections I've had in a B&B and so delicious. Only a few minutes from the main road but a beautiful location by the river. Unfortunately did not have time to enjoy it.

Very clean room and facilities. Owners very accommodating especially with Covid restrictions. On the latter made to feel very safe and certain all necessary precaurions had been implemented. Bed especially very comfotable. Excellent shower with plenty of hot water. All in all a very pleasant quiet stay. Breakfasts one of the best we've ever had - all freshly prepared and cooked.

Husband and wife team Robin and Jane were the perfect hosts and created a unique 4 star B&B experience. Surrounded by breathtaking views of the Snowdonia Mountains and the fast flowing river, the accommodation is traditional with original features, the history of which the hosts will be happy to share with you. And if this is not enough, the dining experience is a treat for the senses, served with Robin’s passion for food and attention to detail. The food is freshly prepared and carefully sourced and would not be out of place in any top restaurant. During the Covid period, Robin and Jane have gone out of their way to ensure the safety of their guests is paramount and within Covid guidelines and this did not inhibit our experience. We will definitely be back! Alan and Paula

The food was fantastic, the setting and building are beautiful it honestly feels like a scene out of the film The Holiday!

Good range of quality breakfasts on offer, catering for unusual diets.

Robin and Jane were so welcoming and accommodating to our dietary needs! The room was comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. Robin is an amazing cook and I can not recommend eating dinner there enough! A brilliant base to explore Snowdonia from.
