Everyone was just really helpful & smiling; you can’t beat service with a smile!

beautiful character hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. Food was superb. we had a garden room with plenty of space and was great with a baby as we could put her to bed and then enjoy a drink in the lovely garden right outside the door so we could feel comfortable that she was safe and we could enjoy the evening at the same time.

We stayed one night. The room - in an annexe, through the garden - was very well appointed, and quiet. (There is a fairly busy road at the other side of the hotel, but no traffic noise where we were). We had to dine elsewhere as the restaurant was fully booked some time in advance. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is by the gate to Waddesdon Manor, so very convenient for visiting there.

The staff made our stay with our two little dogs memorable. Breakfast was super as was our dinner. Bar snacks in the garden were also delicious. We will definitely be going back.

Everything, but extra stars for the staff. They made our 4 day stay.

Enjoyed the whole experience. Coffee machine and a kettle. Lovely toiletries

Everything we have come to expect from an excellent hotel. Our suite was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious with local produce..... We also chose to dine with friends from the village in the restaurant on Friday night. The food was superb in every way with locally sourced ingredients where possible and seasoned well showing the chef team have a deft touch .... our meal was paired with an excellent pinot noir from the cellar at a very reasonable £27 per bottle.. I enjoyed a the chef's amuse bouche of tempora oyster, the confir duck waffles, a perfectly cooked "bleu" steak from the local beef herd, with the cheese board and homemade crackers to finish. We stayed here before Covid, and will be back again soon.

Breakfasts were very good, evening meal in restaurant was excellent

We had a wonderful stay. The staff are fantastic, working hard to ensure guests are well looked after. Breakfasts were fresh & tasty. the restaurant for evening meals has a lovely ambience & the food was delicious. Our room had everything we needed & was warm & comfortable. We will definitely stay again & recommend 👏👏👏😊

The Manager and staff were just lovely. It’s beautiful and the rooms are thoughtful.
