“This is a beautiful pub with rooms in a lovely location. Finding a place we could stay with our dogs that felt comfortable & welcoming whilst travelling was important to us (and the dogs). The staff were warm, welcoming & accommodating. The surrounding area for walks with the dogs was perfect. The room was lovely and the quirkiness to be expected in a building of its age. We loved the welcoming touches too. The hospitality industry has taken such a knock during Covid so it is fabulous to see a place thriving. Lee, the manager, is fantastic & we can't thank him enough for his influence in looking after ours & the dogs requirements. The dinner we had was perfect & the staff were fabulous at looking after everyone in a full dining area. The Five Bells is a firm stopover place from hereonin when we are travelling from France to the UK. ”
