Set in the heart of rural Ringwould, this traditional village pub is 5 minutes’ drive from the Port of Dover and Deal. The Five Bells offers an atmospheric restaurant with a traditional menu, and a fully stocked bar.

Rooms at The Five Bells are elegantly designed, and come with cable TV and facilities for making tea and coffee. Private bathrooms have a hairdryer and ironing facilities are also available.

The restaurant is open Friday and Saturday evenings. Sunday roast is available every week, offering a choice of starters, mains roasted meats, and desserts.

Walmer Castle is a 10-minute drive away, while the pretty cliff side village of Kingsdown is 5 minutes away by car.

  • do you serve food ie breakfast dinner .is bar open in evening

    At present we only serve evening meals on Friday and Saturday, Sundays from 1pm to 4pm. Unfortunately, we do not offer breakfast. With regards to the bar, the pub is open between 5pm and 11pm Monday to Saturday, and 1pm and 10:30pm on Sundays.

  • I would like to ask do you have ground-floor rooms? One of the guests cannot go upstairs for a room and therefore is my request.

    Good afternoon, we do have one ground floor accommodation. It is our one-bedroom apartment. There is a step into the apartment, and a small step into the bedroom. That is all though. I hope this answers your question. Kind regards

    Sorry but the UK Government has closed my rooms down as from 12:01am Thursday 5th November 2020. We cannot accept guests until the UK Government reviews their policies in early December 2020.

The Five Bells is a traditional village pub, it is situated on the outskirts of Deal, some traffic noise can be experienced as it is partly on the main road into Deal, however this is not a busy road at night. The rooms are situated above the pub itself so some noise is to be expected during opening hours.

Ringwould is a pretty little rural village on the outskirts of Deal and Dover, We are less than ten minutes drive to the port of Dover, so perfect for an overnight stay before arriving at the terminal. There are plenty of coastal and village walks and there are several castles close by to explore.
