The facilities were excellent; parking, wifi, tv, hair dryer in room and tea/coffe making facilities. The breakfast was super with a wide range avaialble from cereal, eggs on toast to full English; all cooked to perfection. The room was spacious and the bathroom had a large shower; all were super clean. The hotel is only a very short walk to town and is ideally placed. Pete and Amanda, the owners, were super friendly and worked hard to make our stay perfect, nothing was too much trouble.

i booked this B&B in October 2019 for October 2020 Goth weekend for my son and his GF as a birthday present and it was cancelled due to covid and transferred to Goth weekend 2021 it was worth the wait my son and his GF told me the hotel was lovely clean comfortable and it was easy walking distance to town centre the food was great and it was covid safe

    Hi Karen, sorry it's not showing us a room, only your question. Rm 2, economy double is ground floor. Rm3, economy double is next to dining room so 1st floor, Rms 4 & 5 are second floor and Rm6 large double is at the top. Kind regards Pete Amanda

  • Hi does the economy room definitely have a shower.it only reads as private bathroom Will English breakfast be an option as some accommodation are only serving continental breakfast . Thankyou

Our property is part of a white brick Victorian terrace built in 1870 by local business men. We are situated in Bagdale one of the most historic parts of beautiful Whitby town across from Pannet Park & with a chalybeate Spa Well in our back yard. We offer secure parking for our guests just up the road, but currently only have 4 spaces for 5 rooms, therefore parking is reserved on a first come first served basis. A space MUST be requested at the time of booking. If we have no availability, we will endeavour to find you street parking for your arrival.

We moved to The Florence in August 2019, new to the hospitality business we soon found we enjoyed every minute. After long careers in the NHS, we have now found our niche in life. We love sharing our wonderful home with our guests.
