The staff were fantastic, so friendly, helpful and welcoming and we had a few laughs and felt comfortable straight away
We booked an overnight stay here so popped in for drinks and food also.
The food was great, the breakfast was also nice. Good location to get to the theatre and sea front.
We would come back just for the staff alone, really goes a long way in my opinion and can't thank them enough for a wonderful stay.

Lady in charge kindly moved her car so I could park at the front. Nice welcome and shown to our room. Clean room and bathroom. Very good breakfast served happily and quickly. Found Hash brown to give my son which weren't on the menu, very kind and thoughtful.

A pretty little village with pubs and restaurants.
A pretty little village with pubs and restaurants. Quaint old high street but not very well lit at night. We went out for a walk but it was a bit dark in places. Close to coastal resorts and local amenities. We ate at the Rose and Crown (where we stayed) and would recommend it.

The peace and privacy were the big things for me, as well as the unexpected glory of the garden in which the lodges are situated. I travelled to Thorpe le Soken fom Liverpool for my sister's 50th birthday celebrations. This was a huge garden event with marquee, and many guests, so my experience isn't one of finding my way around solo. I was picked up and brought back, with most of my time spent with my sister, and her family and friends. Garden Lodges was perfect for me from this perspective. There is a very glamorous health spa opposite, for travellers to know!

We were going to a party in Frinton so this was an ideal location to stay. The room was spacious and very clean. When staying at a hotel or b&b I always look forward to the breakfast and this one didn’t disappoint. We helped ourselves to juice, tea, coffee, toast, pastries and cereal. The cooked breakfast was cooked to order. There was plenty. Bacon, eggs, beans, tomatoes, hash brown, mushroom, black pudding and the tastiest sausage we have ever had.
The rose and crown got everything right and know how to do things properly.
The room was extremely clean. Very comfortable and cosy. The hotel is very quirky and the owners have embraced this. Although the room was decorated in a modern way the original features were allowed to shine through. Breakfast was excellent, obviously freshly made and very tasty. Staff were extremely polite, attentive and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel as a place to stay or if you have accommodation elsewhere, it's a gorgious place to go for a meal out.
V good customer service after discovering the twin room booking via booking.com confirmation didn't matched the hotel's booking records. Staff member was called in specially to make up a suitable room while we waited almost an hour. They were v attentive. Breakfast very good. Managed to park in front of pub happily as road was busy.
This is a pleasant pub in Thorpe Le Soken. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. There is free parking on site. The room was very comfortable, with the normal appliances and en suite shower room and free secure wifi. Very good food both in the evening and breakfast.
Good breakfast, friendly staff very nice room and bath will, come back if I'm in the area. Bed space is a litle tight but once you climbed in absolutely perfect. Would recommend that if you are handicapped to discuss this with the hotel.
