Right in the center of Shipston-on-Stour which is charming. Great bar/restaurant which was obviously popular. Best vibe in the town that we saw. Hotel is very old (warped floors, real keys!) but extremely comfortable. bed was awesome and the bathroom was refurbished to modern and very functional. Everything you need w/ the historic feel which was super. We made reservations at the restaurant and it was very good with nice wine selection etc.
United States of AmericaWe have stayed at this property twice before so we knew what to expect, we did not have breakfast on this occasion but I can recommend it from previous visits, we also did not have dinner but we stayed before Xmas and had a wonderful time with friends over a Xmas dinner.

United States of AmericaThe George was absolutely charming. I loved the vibe of this place, my bedroom (room 2) was large and so comfy. My bed was so comfy. I loved walking downstairs to the restaurant and bar. My room did not have air con, but there was a great fan that kept me perfectly comfy in July. It also had a Nespresso machine for a wonderful cup of coffee in the morning. The WiFi worked well.

Breakfast was fab but wasn’t included in price unless you booked directly with hotel. Room didn’t get cleaned first day and second day the bathroom wasn’t cleaned but hey ho not a massive problem. Would stay again but would want a brekie 😂👍
