“The room had plenty of character being so old and was spacious. Lovely bathroom and brilliant shower. The food is excellent and the staff were friendly and the welcome was very warm when we arrived. There is a good sized car park.”

“Breakfast and dinner were exceptional and delicious, with local produce used. My bedroom was very small and dark, with a small window which was in keeping with the style of the room, unfortunately the room and window was above a generator, which was quite noisy, especially as we had to keep the window wide open as the room was so hot. Bed was very comfortable and the furniture and decor was of a high quality. The garden area was very welcome, I was able to sit out 8n the evening for drinks before dinner.”

“Deluxe room was very spacious, with a very comfortable king size bed and two sofas! Everything was clean and tidy. Spacious car park, that our mini-balcony (unused due to relentless autumnal rain!) over-looked. Whole pub/hotel felt VERY safe and followed all the Covid rules and regulations. Breakfast was excellent and booked the evening before to ensure everything was ready at your agreed time to assist with social distancing. Evening meal menu was nicely varied, with generous portions and great flavours. Recommend both the steaks and the house burger! Staff were very attentive and really helpful, especially as we needed a 'packed breakfast' on two days due to early starts and were also excellent in facilitating Gluten-Free. Smiles all round!”
