We selected The Greyhound Inn as an overnight stop whilst walking the Ridgeway. We were met by a warm welcome from the staff and shown our room. The room was spotless with incredibly comfy beds, good quality linen and an excellent shower over bath with lovely Bramley bath products. We booked dinner in the restaurant, which was also excellent. A varied menu with an excellent wine list. Although the pub was busy, the service was friendly and efficient. There was a good selection of breakfast items available at an additional cost and the pub was also able to provide a packed lunch for our onward journey.

Great room and breakfast. I didn't quite get the ladies name, but the lady from South Africa was very lovely and accommodating to any requests. thank you! Location is in a lovely village with lots of surrounding walks. Great getaway for the weekend and would definitely go back! Thank you.

Quiet location. Room was really well set up. There were walk guides based around the Inn which was a great idea. The food was a really high standard with some very good gluten free options.

Very nice clean room and bathroom in a nice & friendly pub in a picturesque village. Excellent food and wine menu. Lovely breakfast.

Having stayed at The Greyhound before we were well aware of what to expect and it certainly didn't disappoint. The location is excellent, tucked away in a lovely, quiet village but with easy access to Oxford or the horse racing community at Lambourn, with the opportunity to walk The Ridgeway on the doorstep. The Greyhound itself is a hub for the local and wider community and as such has a real buzz about it; the food is excellent (both breakfast and evening meals) and their is a great choice of real ales. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed with, believe it or not, firmer pillows than normal. The bar staff and manager were all very friendly and extremely helpful; when requesting a slightly earlier breakfast on the Saturday morning there was no problem at all. When we are in the area again this will be our 'go to' pub for both accommodation and eating.

The Greyhound is a lovely place to stay. The staff were very friendly, our room was very spacious and the food we had was beautiful. Would certainly stay there again if in the area.

They were able to cater for a coeliac diet for both evening meal and breakfast. Which were both very good although a little bit slim on portions. Well made up with extra side dish for a hungry cyclist!

High quality menu & food, great selection of ales, gins etc behind the bar. Well appointed high quality room, well finished and clean. Top quality breakfast choices.

Such a diamond of a place. Amazing eats for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A tightly run ship, with friendly charm.

Very thing was excellent Staff, location, room , restaurant and beer Will be back
