“Stayed at The Hill B&B as we were doing the stargazing tour at High Force. Our room was lovely - very clean and had everything you would need for a night or so’s stay. The bed was so comfy! We appreciated the little touches like bringing us fresh milk and rocky road slices (delicious!). Owners asked us when we liked breakfast and we weren’t rushed at all. Breakfast was lovely. Excellent value for money, we’ll be back if we’re ever in the area again! ”

“Exceptionally clean rooms (we did a “Four in a bed” level check because they were impossibly spotless). Strong, hot shower. Beautiful decor, comfy bed, cute view and lovely sash windows and double glazed too! Sue was the most wonderful host, attentive and genuine without being intrusive. Wilf was our personal highlight, along with the beautifully cooked breakfast. We’ll be back!!”

Wonderful, welcoming hosts who couldn't do enough for us and helped make my wife's long birthday weekend a real treat, including all the unexpected goodies we found in the kitchen - such kindness didn't go unnoticed (thank you so much). The property is exceedingly well appointed with lots of thoughtful touches, and the view out onto the hills (together with evening sunset) is just amazing. Beautifully cooked hearty breakfast is not to be missed and I managed to steal myself NOT to drop any morsels to Wilf the (very friendly) dog.”

Plus the location was perfect right in the centre but set back from the main road. They even gave me a lift up the road in the morning so that I could resume my Pennine Way walk and the complimentary rocky road was fantastic. ”
