Paul was a very pleasant host, as he always attended to my needs, and always offered me coffee or tea. The place was unique and left me feeling as though I had just left a home of a family friend. The area was very quiet and I got a very uninterrupted and sound sleep, first time since travelling around.

We saw the town on a Sunday. Vey quiet. However, there is more to the town than first glance (just), but too much retail - so much unoccupied. Given history, very little historic class on view. The hey day has gone, what now? Perfect accommodation, very close to town.

We were just there to attend interview at university and move on to another one. Very short stay. If you are attending university be sure to pay for parking! This wasn’t clearly displayed and I ended up with a fine

There are some really interesting shops and businesses in the town centre. Sadly, in common with many towns, there are too many empty/closed shops and rundown buildings. That said Carmarthen's location is ideal for visiting the NBGW

Carmarthen was a nice town to walk around for a day but I wouldn’t want to stay longer than a long weekend. The castle was locked with no reason or explanation when the internet states it’s open ? Many tourists were also under the same impression as us and miss informed by Google.

For a bank holiday and festival weekend, there seemed to be very little going on. Difficult to find a restaurant meal, so had to get takeaway. From that point of view, we probably didn't see the town at its best. Enjoyed a trip on the steam railway, and few minutes drive from the town, and know from previous visits to the area that the surrounding countryside is lovely,as is the river.

Such a lovely place, very quick and easy to find, plenty of space to park, safe for kids as not near any busy roads and private, super friendly baby cows in a paddock just outside, the cottage is really comfortable, slept very well in this bed! The homemade breakfasts far exceed anything you have in a hotel, Marion is such a lovely host, I'd be very happy to stay here on my own as it feels very safe and welcoming. We will definitely be going back!

The Boars Head is a town centre Pub/Hotel/restaurant. Welcoming staff, nice room. I would stay here again if I was in the area. Good breakfast with one exception, the sausages are awful. I know the hospitality business is under financial pressure, but cheap budget sausages aren’t going to help. Everything else about the Boars Head was great, the room, free parking, lovely staff and an excellent pint of cask Double Dragon.

We had a delightful stay at the beautiful countryside cottage in Carmarthenshire, Wales. The cottage exudes elegance and coziness, complemented by breathtaking surroundings with a charming river view. Anne, the host, is not only friendly but also incredibly supportive—a truly down-to-earth woman. The convenient location, just five minutes from Skanda Vale Temple, adds to the overall appeal of this wonderful retreat.

Superb hotel and smack bang in middle of town centre, so very central to all shops and amenities! Staff are very helpful and friendly, couldn’t do enough for us. Very clean and comfortable room. They also do food on site, including breakfast, which was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone, apart from disabled people, as the rooms are upstairs on two floors, and there’s no lift.

My friends and I really like the apartment, it’s clean, very spacious, and very comfortable. Away from noisy and busy city. We got everything that we needed, supermarket is just 12 mins away and there’s a pub in front of the apartment. We enjoyed our stay and great location to explore the south wales..Would love to stay in this place again, and I greatly recommend this place.

Breakfast was incredible with lovely views of the garden and surround landscape. The staff super friendly and most welcoming. It had parking and was in close enough proximity to the local town and botanical garden. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I'll definitely be coming back again when I'm next in Wales :)

Very friendly and helpful staff. We booked a room for 6 but ended up receiving a room for 8 Due to a leakage from heavy rain. We only came to stay for the night to go to Skandavel early morning Pooja, so couldn't say much else about the area .
