The B&B was lovely, everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable! Andy was kind and welcoming and made the stay more enjoyable, always greeting us on a morning and served us breakfast. The garden was beautiful and well kept, definitely worth a wander around!

We received a very nice welcome and the proprietor was helpful in advising us as to where we would be able to go for an evening meal. Our room was warm, very comfortable and quiet. There was a good choice on the menu for breakfast and the cooked breakfast option was individually prepared for each guest. We had a dog with us and there was a large walled garden in which we could exercise her. We would definitely return here again for another stay if it fitted in with our travel arrangements.

Sensitively restored, the individually styled bedrooms and elegant reception rooms create a cosy and tranquil welcome. Set in a walled garden in the Eden Valley village of Temple Sowerby, The House offers an opportunity to relax and indulge. All our rooms are dog friendly and all four legged friends receive a special gift from The House. Our walled garden is perfect for a little run around after a long journey. The village of Temple Sowerby is situated between the market towns of Penrith and Appleby in Westmorland with the mighty Cross Fell Mountain as a spectacular backdrop.
