The grounds and bike ride available were very enjoyable, and there were plenty of children and family facilities, including a great heated pool. Food was lovely too.

We stayed at Ludwig's lodge room which was in a separate building from the hotel, we were totally amazed with the room, it was huge, we didn't pay anymore for this room & we were told that it was the largest room in the lodge building & was the honey moon suite which we didn't know when we booked it. So we was very happy, got a fridge in the room as well as tea & coffee making facilities, bed was big & comfortable, staff were professional, food was amazing, we felt like royalty. It was the best place that we have stayed in & it was our 27th wedding anniversary which made it even more special, we would defiantly stay there again,

We always come back to the Ickworth for luxury with the children in mind. A magnificent setting makes you feel special but it definitely a countryside retreat with dogs and Wellington boots. Don’t expect slick, modern or new.

  • Just checking that there is an indoor pool for children, what are the hours for swimming?

    Good Morning We have 1 pool opens from 7am until 8pm and chidren are allowed all the time.

  • Any handicap modifications like elevator or ground level, bars in bathrooms or walk in showers

    1 lift that can access our 1st and 2nd floor bedrooms in main Hotel. Majority of bathrooms have a shower over the bath. Call our team for more info.

  • is it ok to bring dog?

    Yes, if you are sataying overnight we do charge £15 per night. Dogs are allowed in the Lounge area but not in the restaurants
