service and food were excellent. very friendly staff. location good. Breakfast was great, good choice and plenty of it.

Atmospheric old-style hotel with interesting paintings and suits of armour and swords on display. Plenty of parking and nicely located to explore the Keswick and Grasmere localities. Good quality food for breakfast and evening meal and a wide selection of drinks at the bar. All staff went the extra mile to make the stay enjoyable despite it being a busy weekend.

The Kings Head is a beautiful place to stay. The staff were amazing! So friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food was absolutely great. The room was beautiful, stylish and clean! Perfect location, with spectacular views all around. Just a short drive to nearby towns. Great base to stay to explore around the Lake District! I would highly recommend this place! I look forward to coming back soon! :)

Great food, cozy pub, friendly waitstaff and prime location.

Very pleasant atmospheric inn with comfotable bar/restaurant and a lovely relaxing lounge with real fire. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. Reasonable size bedroom with comfortable bed, lots of storage space, large TV and tea/coffee facilities. Efficient electric radiators ensuring the room was warm on a very cold night. Great shower. Everything very clean. Good wifi. Very good breakfast with wide choice. Evening meal was very good too. Lots of free car parking. Hotel is close to main road but not many cars pass by at night so there was no noise disturbance

Very good hearty walkers food. Good central Lake District location. Newly refurbished bedrooms.

Friendly staff, great location, good access to helvellyn / grasmere / keswick

I ate at the hotel each night. Great pub fare. Breakfast equally as good.

Breakfast was amazing, staff was super nice and helpful. The overall atmosphere was very homey and the location was great.

From arrival to departure we could not have received a better, friendlier service. Breakfas and particularly the evening meal were exceptional. Room was good and very good value for money, the location for those who love lakeland scenary is great and for those who prefer shops, cafes etc keswick and ambleside can be easily reached by car or bus. We can't wait to return, highly recommend and many thanks to Peter and his team.
