Cute little place, hidden away from hustle and bustle. Good sized but with an amazingly comfy bed. Everything was thought about. From blankets to sit on the veranda with candles (supplied) for the tea tight holders. Private mini bbq/fire pit and larger communal bbq if you go with other couples. It wasn’t over busy when we went but it was very quiet, I think tenants had respect for each other. Toilets & shower facilities were very clean, modern & well maintained. Included mirror, hanging space & seated area to get dried & dressed. I was astonished yo find radiators in them….. and they were on!!! We loved the fact we could take our doggy. The on-site cafe was great. Lovely, reasonably priced good. Again dog friendly.

These luxury, adult-only camping pods offer cozy self-catering accommodations just 3 miles from the historic center of York. The overhanging shops of The Shambles and the magnificent York Minster are just a short drive away.

The Little Hide camping pods all contain a zip-link bed with under-bed storage, a sofa, and a heater. Each pod also comes with a coffee table and a kettle for making hot drinks.

Bedding is provided, but guests are required to bring their own towels. The toilet and shower block is just a short walk from the pods.

There are laundry facilities on site, and the farm shop and café can supply takeaway breakfasts. The property has a discount and voucher scheme for guests wishing to have the breakfasts. There is a barbecue area and an on-site bus stop, with a regular bus service into the city.

There is plenty of outdoor space and a nearby wooded area for taking a stroll.

  • How many dogs are suitable for the dog pod?

    Obviously it would depend on the breed of the dog, personally I wouldn't want more than one "full size" dog in there, so for example, 1 Golden Retriever, however you would probably get away with 3 Jack Russell's, as an example...

  • Can you have your own barbeque ?

    Yes you can, there is an area on the deck that you can put a disposable BBQ (please not on the wood!) and there are various other BBQ's around of ours that you can use, you do however need to provide your own BBQ coals.

  • Are there any eating places or pubs nearby

    Yes there are many on Clifton Moor, which is just about half a mile away, and some in the local village. A car is required to easily get to both though. Thank you.

    Yes, we have 4 pods that we take dogs in - they are labeled as dog pods, so just pick one of those when making the booking. Dogs no permitted in the cabin or yurt. Thank you.

  • hello what can be done in the nearby area we looking at activities such as fishing and walks in nature with the dog (we are not driving)

    Hello, Yes the cabin has an electric heater in which warms up the cabin really quick. If you feel the cold more than others i would suggest a pod might be better for you in the colder months.

Discover the perfect place to hide, just for grown-ups! The Little Hide Adult Only Glamping Site, is the perfect place to spend a few nights, nestled in the Yorkshire countryside, but only minutes from the heart of the City of York. We have a bunch of really great camping pods, a Chic Cabin and Nomadic Yurt, all fully furnished, so all you have to do is turn up and relax! Our camping pods are unique – they were designed by us and are perfect for a short break! The site opened at Easter 2013, and is just finding its feet as the trees start to fill out and the pods relax onto their standings. Pets can stay in 4 of the pods, but all other units are kept allergy free. Willow House Caravan Park and The Little Hide are both child free sites, making them perfect for a few quiet nights away, with some of Europe’s best restaurants and sights on the doorstep!

The Little Hide is owned by Donna, who after travelling the world with her work, decided she wanted to spend some more time at home, and the Glamping site allowed her to do that. The Caravan Park is owned by her uncles and was the perfect location for The Little Hide! Kirsty is the General Manager of The Little Hide and has embraced the site as her own, she loves making the place look nice and keeps it spotlessly clean!

The Glamping Site is located in a rural situation, just 3 and a half miles from the centre of York. There is a riverside walk to the local village or you can hop on a bus at the end of the drive into the town centre. Clifton Moor Shopping Centre is just 3/4 of a mile away with a 24hr Tesco and other restaurants. There is an onsite Cafe open from 9am to 4pm daily.
