I lived in Hertford for years so was visiting friends. Ware is now a far nicer town than Hertford (for a long time it was the other way round). Lots of nice bars, pubs, restaurants etc.
Nice place.

Compact but attractive own with many nice old buildings with a good choice of shops, pubs and restaurants. The musem, churches and river also gives it a greater sense of place.
The good rail link alao means that London is only 50 odd minutes away.
The only main problem is, at times, the heavy traffic going through the high street.

Ware is a pleasant small river town with some lovely old buildings. Plenty of pubs restaurants and coffee houses. If the weather is good you can walk to Hartford 1.5 miles along the river which is another old town steeped in history.

The village is small but pituresque.
The village is small but pituresque. When you throught the square behind the church in the night you can see a iluminated three and just there you can eat in some restaurant. Futher, there is a river throughting the village and the views are wonderful.
Really enjoyed my stay in this cute (not so) little 1 bed apartment right in the centre of Ware. The place was warm, comfortable and very well equipped and the landlord was beyond helpful with any requests I had. left something behind when I checked out and they were in contact within hours to let me know and organise postage back to me - a much appreciated extra mile from them to ensure my stay was up to standard. I'll be working in the area in future and will be disappointed if I can't get the chance to stay here again.
We had a very clean, comfortable and warm room at the far end of the hotel, with plenty of towels and hot water, tea and coffee. Great fluffy bathrobes. We enjoyed the use of sauna, steam room and pool. We had our evening meal in the bar, not cheap but very tasty. Good breakfast in the restaurant. Lovely grounds. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The location was absolutely perfect for our pickleball tournament at Wodson Sports centre and even better to be in the middle of Ware with easy access to shops, bars and restaurants. The layout inside was fun. The kitchen was well equipped and there was even a bottle of milk in the fridge. Parking is a 60 second walk away.
The location is definitely Beautiful. The building is absolutely stunning and the Cleanliness was perfect. The decor within the hotel is spectacular and the ambience is warming. Staff were kind and helpful therefore that was appreciated.
Staff were very helpful, and kind. Facilities were very good. They are the first hotel to explain fire Evacuation procedure for my husband who uses a wheelchair.
Very nice, welcoming hotel with extremely helpful, friendly staff. Literally, nothing was too much trouble. Top of our places to stay list next time we visit.
The location was very good for sightseeing in Ware and Hertford. The bed was very comfortable. The downstairs living area was very nice. Good value for money.
