  • Are the rooms on the ground floor and is it disabled friendly

    Unfortunately, oue rooms at The Manners are on the first floor, with no other access than a flight of stairs.

  • hi, do you except 3 old dogs? also would you provide room service ? One dog is disabled therefore can not leave her or the others.

    Hi. We do accept dogs. The charge is £10/dog per night. Unfortunately we do not have the facilities in the room for dining I'm afraid, but the 2 rooms we have are literally above the pub if that helps.

  • Can the double bed available on Friday October 8th be a twin?

    Unfortunately the beds at the pub are doubles only. Our sister property Avenue House has 3 rooms that are possible to make twins.

  • Hi I am checking if I need to make you aware of two dogs we are planning to bring on our stay before we arrive please? Also private bathroom is the definition en-suite or is it separate from the room please?

    Hi Pets are welcome at The Manners. There is a £10per night charge for them. Both rooms at the pub are en-suite

  • Do you have a room with a king size bed please

    Hi there, some of our rooms at Avenue house (rooms 2, 3, 4) have queen sized beds, the rest of our rooms are doubles. Hope this helps, please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any more questions.

After many years owning and running our own restaurant, we decided to return to Bakewell and take on the challenge of a pub. We are passionate about quality and strive to always serve excellent food and drink. The pub is very much our home.

Property info

A handsome stone built pub, just a few minutes walk from the town centre of the historic market town of Bakewell. The Manners is a traditional pub with a few contemporary twists. A large beer garden and car park is at the rear of the pub.

Bakewell is a busy market town in the heart of the Peak District. Wonderful walking country, with many paths and trails starting in Bakewell and leading to the surrounding villages. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are both just a few miles away.
