Bed linen was beautifully soft, room was a good size, shower gloriously hot and plentiful, the coffee and confectionery were generous. Full English was very welcome. Sadly I was unable to do a comprehensive taste test on the draught beers, but next time.
KuwaitThe dining room offered a small but good quality, varied menu; breakfast and dinner were both excellent with well presented, generous portions. For breakfast smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and the Full English were awesome. Bed very comfortable and room provided all the amenities needed. Courtyard at rear of hotel is a delightfully quaint place for a drink and to meet socially distanced friends. Staff and Owner exceptionally friendly and helpful. Covid protection measures made life more difficult than usual for staff who coped well and observed precautions throughout our stay giving a feeling of safety and confidence. Excellent location on High Street of this vibrant, historic and very attractive town. Would definitely recommend The Marlborough as an historic and very pleasant pub bed & breakfast.
