convenient for railway station. peaceful during the night. Good food and real ales. excellent breakfast. The manager was helpful regarding an issue where Booking.Com gave him the wrong dates for our stay!!

Excellent, John and the staff were friendly couldn’t do enough for us. Clean with great attention to detail, the bedrooms were well set out and lovely hot shower after a long day’s sightseeing was most welcome. Convenient for the station. Only downside was no long stay car parking close by. Will recommend and definitely a return visit.

A little gem. Good location for the town, clean, good rooms and excellent breakfast. The only issue we had was that when booking we made a comment that one of us was vegan, this did not get to the property but it didn't affect the quality of our stay as the chef made sure we had good vegan options

Great location just next to the train station so easy access if you don't want to use a car. Parking provision nearby was fine. Friendly and helpful staff who had a laugh with us. Breakfast could have been better but I think there was a staff issue that was temporary so no problem. We enjoyed our stay with our friends and would certainly go again, perhaps using the train system to get there. Knaresborough is a lovely town - good pubs and restaurants and we found plenty of walking by the river and up to the castle.

A very personal service is given, even though it was a inn! Very quiet at night which suprised me. Its next to the train station, so theres to rains right up to 11pm, but after that its quiet as a mouse. The early trains didnt bother my partner or myself either. Breakfast staff were excellent too the lady that served me and did house keeping was a right card with a GSOH! Made you feel right at home. I only had cereal, but the cooked breakfast looked great. The cook was a lovely lad too. Made you feel very welcome and relaxed. Will stay there again if available.

The staff at the Mitre Inn were exceptional. We arrived very late due to the breakdown of my motorcycle but the Manager had stayed late to welcome us and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The next morning, at breakfast we were offered a takeaway lunch for our onward travel and the whole staff team, were supportive, kind and keen to help. I would say that the staff at the Mitre Inn provided the best customer service I have ever experienced at a hotel - 5 stars!!

Excellent stay at the Mitre Inn. We will return. We were greeted by the most loveliest, friendliest lady. Let’s us drop our bags off as we were too early to check in so we could go into Harrogate on the train. I’m sure the lady’s name was Lesley 🤔 She really made our stay and couldn’t do enough for us.
