From the welcome, the advices given about the area , the location which is very quiet and with a nice pub at the corner to the style of the house, the attention to details, very clean, the delightful breakfast ( including smoked salmon!!) ... very kind and attentive hosts who know how to make you feel special. A definite come back. Collin even put his own car in front of our motorbikes as he knew I was anxious about anything happening ( there was no risks whatsoever...I simply lived to long in busy towns!!). Best last night stay of our holidays. Fabulous!!!

The Old Forge B and B
A warm and friendly atmosphere greets all guests to The Old Forge B and B which offers two twin-bedded rooms and a double/family room, all rooms are en-suite. We pride ourselves on our full English breakfasts using local produce. Alternatively, we offer a menu service so that guests may choose their own breakfast. All meals are cooked fresh. A cot and high chair are available. Business people are welcome and we accommodate late arrivals and early breakfasts.
The Old Forge B and B is run by Wendy and Colin Pearce. We are situated between Shrewsbury and Oswestry in Shropshire and Knockin is just two miles off the A5. Knockin is a central point for horse riding, golf, fishing, walking, cycling and visiting many National Trust properties. The Welsh border is just four miles a way. A local taxi firm is available.
It is advisable to book next door if you want to eat, but it is pub food. If you want home-cooked meals at pubs just a short distance in the car that we highly recommend and our guests have also give good feedback, then they are The Cross Keys at Kinnerley (one mile away); The Three Pigeons at Nesscliffe (three miles away) and the Queen's Head at Queen's Head (four miles away). Take a look at their websites. Knockin is a friendly village which has a church, local shop (The Knockin Shop), cricket club, village hall and many interesting houses.
