  • Are there restaurants nearby where we could get an evening meal ? Thank you

    It would be best to contact us closer to your arrival date as restaurants tend to open depending on the weather. If a general question, we do have some really good pub restaurants nearby or at Taunton or Bridgwater.

  • I'm looking for a ground floor double room. My partner has walking difficulties. Do you have anything suitable? Thankyou

    Apologies for the slow response. All our B&B rooms are on the first floor and accessed via staircase and probably unsuitable for you. However , we do have a ground floor flat that has only one short step to contend with.It is only just manageable for a wheelchair. This would have a minimum 2 night stay for you and on self catering basis. There are places nearby for breakfast as an alternative. I hoe this has been helpful. Regards The Old House

Manor and Ann

The Old House is a very old established property in the village and has strong historical links with the poets.We have updated the property whilst keeping the character intact. The property still has a lot of the original features and is listed. The Old House has a historical connection with well known English poets from the Romantic era.

My wife and retired from careers in education in 2006 and did not want a sedentary lifestyle so we found this new venture to keep us busy. My wife is a keen gardener and loves to send time maintaining and developing our acre of walled garden.

Nether Stowey is a delightful village with loads of character. The brook runs down the main streets and adds to its charm. We have 3 pubs. The village is the starting point of the Coleridge Way and other delightful walks and popular attractions.
