We have been two years in a row and plan to visit again next year. It’s in a great location, the facilities are amazing and the staff are very welcoming and go above and beyond to make our stay great. We highly recommend to anyone who want to have a great experience of Bourton

United KingdomThis was a difficult time for everyone during covid but we were impressed with how well the inn was organised and breakfast was managed. Timed slots to keep passage ways and stairs clear and well spaced tables in dining room. Table was laid according to menu requests from previous evening and everything else brought to the table when ready. Very clean and comfortable room too.

United KingdomThe room was gorgeous and spotless (Duck Room number 3), the best thing about the room was the mini fridge (which we could fit 2 full size bottles of Champagne, a mini Prosecco, beer, milk, OJ and bottle of water in at the same time!!) The view was also great overlooking the river and ford. Breakfast was amazing and cooked perfectly (best poached eggs ever!) and the hosts could not be more welcoming, always ensuring we had everything we needed.

Host Information
The Old New Inn is an 18th Century, Grade II listed property situated in the village of Bourton-on-the-Water, often referred to as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’ Dating back to 1712, this former coaching inn has recently undergone extensive refurbishment to provide 8 high quality bedrooms, all en-suite, and fitting for today’s discerning traveller. There is a light and airy breakfast room, where, a locally produced and sourced menu offers great breakfasts before you depart for a day of sight-seeing. Overnight guests will have the opportunity to visit the World Famous Model Village after breakfast, and before the attraction opens its doors to the general public. The bar and restaurant at the property are currently closed, with a planned opening in spring 2021, but there are many local restaurants for lunches and dinners, and your hosts, Andrew and Julie will happily recommend something to suit your tastes and budget.
Andrew and Julie have spent their careers in hospitality and finally had the opportunity to create their own business, when they bought The Old New Inn in December 2018. They have been busy refurbishing the property creating their own take on a Cosy Cotswold Country Inn, although the main restaurant and bar will remain closed as they continue their ambitious refurbishment. The emphasis of the business will be to operate in as sustainable a way as possible, with locally sourced organic and free range breakfasts, home grown vegetables, herbs and salads, fair trade and eco cosmetics, teas and coffees and recycling of waste products.
The Old New Inn is situated in Bourton-on-the-Water, in the centre of The Cotswolds. It makes an ideal base for visiting the many other towns, villages and attractions in this beautiful part of the country. Guests can visit Oxford, Blenheim Palace, Stratford upon Avon, the Spa town of Cheltenham, all within an easy hour's drive. More locally there is Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden, Broadway, Sudeley Castle, Painswick and the Roman town of Cirencester, all within half an hour's drive.
