Rutland Water Courtyard Rooms are located on Rutland Water Golf Course. A restaurant, an on-site bar and free WiFi is available. Free private parking is available on site.

Peaceful location, lovely courtyard room with everything needed, including a very comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfast and excellent evening meal on the day we chose to eat there. It was nice staying next to the bar - we could have a drink in the evening without worrying about who was going to drive. We're not golfers, but learned a bit about the sport while we were there! Also was great to be so close to the Nature Reserve and able to walk around Rutland Water.

The Fox and Hounds, hotel in Oakham

Located in Oakham, 29 miles from Leicester Train Station, The Fox and Hounds has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Very convenient to find by car, tranquil setting and good off road parking. Spacious/well appointed room, very comfortable bed and an equally spacious bathroom. Quirky decor which suited our taste..Excellent food; for dinner we opted for Greek specialities for starters and mains. The chocolate pudding/mousse was thick set and wonderfully decadent! The full cooked breakfast was equally good.

I love the scenery, the wildlife, I'm a walker, so great walks, the town of oakham has everything u need, but what I like most is it's not commercialised, still a pretty little market town.i also used train & went to peterborough, the parking at the station was only £2.50 for the whole day. I had lunch one day at a lovely little cafe tucked in the corner of the market Square called Hungry Birds.

There are some pretty villages around in this area. Also, of course, Rutland Water is a great attraction, with walks, cycle rides and many water activities. Oakham itself has the remains of a castle with a tearoom.

The Courtyard Rooms are within golf complex. I was impressed with the accommodation. very clean and spacious. Bed comfortable. Good bathroom with excellent shower. Brakfast was above average and staff very good. The location ideal for getting to know the area and only 5 miles from the attractive town of Oakham and easy driving distance to Melton Mowbray and Stamford. The little villages in Rutland are very attractive and well looked after. Plenty of pub/restaurants. Great area for a few days break.

The location is absolutely breathtaking. It is what I would call a resort hotel where there is enough to do that you need not venture off site. I found the hotel and all communal areas were immaculate. There is a beautiful design to the interiors. Breakfast was a good offering with plenty to fill you for the day. I found the staff to be excellent. I'm afraid my expectations of staff in the UK to be generally poor so it is always pleasant when you find it closer to Dubai standards.

Couldn't fault it. Well done everyone at the Admiral Hornblower.

Beautiful house in a very small village but not far from restaurants and sightseeing locations. The room was clean and beautiful and cozy, the bathroom clean and quite large. Our host provided all the things we could have needed. She was so welcoming friendly and helpful. The area had beautiful scenery it was a very relaxing and quiet evening. We only stayed one night but hope to return again soon.

Maybe a strange coincidence, but a review by ‘ROGER -COUPLE ‘ was written on the same day this ROGER vacated, how convenient ! The property was well situated in Market Street for our cause to be close to Rutland Water and a three day fishing holiday. The car park was some distance to continually remove and carry our gear to the Hotel each day. Lammy the waiter was the most cheerful of people.

Very warm welcome from Bennie when we arrived. The food we had for dinner was really tasty, and served promptly, and with a smile. Our room was very warm and the bed very comfortable.Tea and coffee provided, and the use of a kettle as well as coffee maker. Bar area and dining area a little cold, but it was very cold outside! All in all we enjoyed our stay, and would stay again.

The hotel was amazing, we got an upgrade because of a faulty shower in our allocated room. All the staff were very attentive, they could not do enough for us. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were excellent although a bit expensive. The room was fantastic with lovely views over the fields and we would not hesitate to visit again if we are in the area

We had an evening meal, and again, cannot be faulted and very reasonably priced. All staff we had the pleasure of meeting were really warm and welcoming.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful spot, room was especially nice overlooking the gardens. We ate in the restaurant and, although the menu was a bit more pub than hotel, the food was excellent. Generous portions & good service. Lovely bar area. Liked that dogs were in a separate area for dining.

as soon as you walk in the door it’s excellent. the only issue inside is I prefer a higher water pressure when I am taking a shower. best thing was the air conditioning, I was there during a heat wave and all of travel buddies complained about the hotels not having air.
