Good location. Two women in charge did a great job - they work hard. The owners/operators have clearly thought out the system they want and how to implement it.

The Old Rectory was developed out of our desire to provide a truly beautiful and relaxing atmosphere to help you unwind and enjoy your stay in Hastings. A bed & breakfast for grown-ups, we aim to provide you with a warm welcome, coupled with a thoughtful and friendly service. From the use of fabulous locally sourced produce for our breakfasts, to also providing a venue to showcase the work of local artists and designers, we actively work to promote the best of everything Hastings and hope you will fall in love with it, as we did.
Both the house and our garden terrace are licensed to conduct civil ceremonies and weddings. Within our stunning garden we can accommodate up to eighty guests for your celebration using a ‘capri’ marquee, or for a more intimate celebration, up to forty guests can relax and use the house to enjoy their day.
Why not explore the narrow streets of the Old Town, with its charming mix of antique, vintage and independent shops, restaurants and cafes. Wander along Rockanore with its iconic tall black net huts, built for the harbours fishermen to traditionally dry their nets. Home, also to the Jerwood Gallery, which houses a fabulous permanent collection of 20th and 21st century British art and regularly changing exhibitions. Climb aboard Britains steepest funicular railway, which ascends up to the Country Park and its breathetaking views of the East Sussex coast or take the second funicular railway from George Street up the West Hill, to find the remains of Englands first castle built by William the Conqueror. Stroll along the prom, stop and play crazy golf where the world champions fight for the trophy each year, ride the caterpillar at the funfair or spend a 'penny' to win a fortune at one of the amusement arcades, before continuing along to the newly rebuilt pier and St.Leonards beyond.
