We had to extend our stay to 3 nights in the end. The house was beautiful, very clean and large enough to have plenty of privacy as well as having a wonderful cozy and homely atmosphere. The beds were comfortable and of the 3 rooms we used during our stay all were a great size. It was so nice to make use of the guest sitting room aswell. Our stay was peaceful and quiet and our daily breakfast very good. The owners were helpful and there when you needed them, but gave you plenty of space and the tea and coffee set outside your room was very welcome. We didn't order dinner, but the food options sounded good. There was a really nice pub not far away which also did great food.

Everything about it was exceptional - from the warm welcome from Maggie and Paddy (tea and cake on arrival) to the quality and quantity of the breakfasts and the great little touches that make a stay special (tiny thermos of fresh milk in the room so no nasty UHT to spoil your tea!). The beds were divinely comfortable (Egyptian cotton) and the grounds were spectacular. Welcome extras were the super-friendly cat and dog - oh and the bees that 'accompanied us to breakfast' from the resident hives. For peace and tranquility second to none.

Maggie

The Old Rectory sits at the end of a no-through road with views over the garden and beyond. Originally 15th Century, the house has been altered over the years. It is primarily a family home offering 4 comfortable rooms, 2 of them with private baths.

Now the children have grown up and left, we have opened our home as a B&B. We pride ourselves on our home grown produce whether its our eggs for breakfast, afternoon tea on the South facing terrace or dinner in the evening. A warm welcome to all.
