Jeff is a great host and makes you feel at home. Happy to go out of his way to help and doesn’t mind if your working hours are a little unscociable. The B&B is hidden away down a quiet road, 2 minutes away from the friendly local pub. Clean, comfortable and cost effective - would stay again.

The host was very hospitable. The room was quirky. The shared breakfast table was a treat.

Jeff is an excellent host. Room comfortable. Good area to travel around Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Good places to visit and lovely local deli. All well worth a visit whilst staying at the stables.

Jeff was a great host & very friendly. The bedroom was very comfortable & the bathroom was very clean & tidy. Perfectly located within reach of everything in the village which was great! Jeff also provided full details of how to get there along with parking info. Breakfast consisted of a choice of artisan breads, homemade local preserves & all the tea, coffee & juice you could drink! As for Winslow itself it has just about everything one needs within the village, it's an absolute gem of a place where the locals are friendly.

Lovely quirky old building. We had the upstairs room with the curved staircase and sloped floors and we loved it. (This is not for everyone as access with bags could be an issue for come people, also not much headroom in the shower but we love that sort of thing in a very old B&B.) Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated. Very relaxed atmosphere, good self serve continental breakfast, friendly staff. We parked a few blocks away at the greyhound parking lot - free, and close enough to pull our bags. No surprises. Good restaurants and shops close by.

Situated in a quiet area this B&B was amazing our host Jeff was very friendly and extremely welcoming. The room was so homely we had an amazing experience. The property was very clean and set up perfectly. Breakfast was set up for us in the morning. We were given a folder with places to visit and places to eat around the area which was very helpful. Loved the stay and definitely hope to stay there again soon.

Jeff was very welcoming and made us feel at home. A really nice relaxing break. Communication prior to booking to address someone who is vegan was reassuring.

Lovely oak beams, nice wobbly floors fantastic shower, comfortable bed.

Lovely quiet location tucked away and very private, parking nearby was easy and it was local to Winslow shops and pubs.

If you are looking for somewhere very traditional, unique and an experience of old England, you will like this establishment. It is what it says, an old stables which has been converted into a beautiful dwelling place. My room and bathroom were delightful with lots of interesting features and artefacts. Breakfast was around a large communal table in the kitchen. The owner offered graciously to carry my heavy luggage upstairs to my room. Car perking is difficult in a narrow street, but the owner reserved me a place right outside.

The building was originally a small one-up one-down workers cottage built around 1740. The adjacent barn was used as stables by our neighbours' children up to 25 years ago. We have retained as much of the old timbers as possible and tried to keep it informal and cosy
Back in my corporate days I worked in I.T. and was Systems Development Manager for Securicor. In my 20’s, I spent 6 months in the States; 2 months in a summer camp in New York State, then 4 months travelling to the West Coast and back in a van with an American and Dutch friend, visiting New York, Niagara Falls, Yellowstone and Yosemite National Parks, San Francisco, Hollywood, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Washington DC. A couple of years later I spent six months in Italy; 3 months each at the Universities of Siena and Perugia learning Italian language and culture and mastering the art of eating pasta and pizza and drinking wine. A keen cook and wine lover, I also owned a restaurant in Winslow for five years until, completely exhausted, it was sold in 2006. I have always been interested in photography and after the sale of the restaurant, spent a lot of time attending courses with some of the best photographers in the UK and now do portrait & wedding photography on a semi-professional basis I have dabbled in property development and have a share in a house near Bodrum in Turkey, where I spend time each year. I am devoted to my daughter who lives in London
Winslow is a lovely friendly town - a great place to live. There are plenty are interesting National Trust properties around plus Bletchley Park (think Imitation Game) is just 15 minutes away. Good access to Oxford and Milton Keynes
