Jeff was a great host & very friendly. The bedroom was very comfortable & the bathroom was very clean & tidy. Perfectly located within reach of everything in the village which was great! Jeff also provided full details of how to get there along with parking info. Breakfast consisted of a choice of artisan breads, homemade local preserves & all the tea, coffee & juice you could drink! As for Winslow itself it has just about everything one needs within the village, it's an absolute gem of a place where the locals are friendly.

I was attracted by the age of the property and location and wasn’t disappointed. Absolutely stunning. The village of Winslow is beautiful and so friendly. Jeff is a fabulous host who is incredibly friendly and wonderful to chat to. He’ll go out of his way to make your stay perfect. He is also quite the domestic goddess 😃

  • Is there parking onsite? If not, where is the nearest parking

    sorry about the delay in replying. system didn't allow me send for some reason. We are in the conservation area and there is little onsite parking locally. However we are in a cul-de-sac of only 11 houses so there is usually somewhere very close

    We are in a conservation area so there is little or no on-site parking. However The Walk is a cul-de-sac with only 11 houses. You can normally park within easy walking distance. The Market Square is only 60 yards away with free overnight parking

  • Hi, which room has the en-suite bathroom?

    The Double/Twin has an ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath. The Double with Ensuite has an ensuite shower room. The Double with Private Bathroom has its own bathroom immediately next door with a bath and separate large shower

The building was originally a small one-up one-down workers cottage built around 1740. The adjacent barn was used as stables by our neighbours' children up to 25 years ago. We have retained as much of the old timbers as possible and tried to keep it informal and cosy

Back in my corporate days I worked in I.T. and was Systems Development Manager for Securicor. In my 20’s, I spent 6 months in the States; 2 months in a summer camp in New York State, then 4 months travelling to the West Coast and back in a van with an American and Dutch friend, visiting New York, Niagara Falls, Yellowstone and Yosemite National Parks, San Francisco, Hollywood, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Washington DC. A couple of years later I spent six months in Italy; 3 months each at the Universities of Siena and Perugia learning Italian language and culture and mastering the art of eating pasta and pizza and drinking wine. A keen cook and wine lover, I also owned a restaurant in Winslow for five years until, completely exhausted, it was sold in 2006. I have always been interested in photography and after the sale of the restaurant, spent a lot of time attending courses with some of the best photographers in the UK and now do portrait & wedding photography on a semi-professional basis I have dabbled in property development and have a share in a house near Bodrum in Turkey, where I spend time each year. I am devoted to my daughter who lives in London

Winslow is a lovely friendly town - a great place to live. There are plenty are interesting National Trust properties around plus Bletchley Park (think Imitation Game) is just 15 minutes away. Good access to Oxford and Milton Keynes
