Lovely setting and scenery. Nicky and Amanda were really nice and couldn’t do enough for us. Amanda gives fab Indian massage 👍🏻. Really relaxing and fridge was fully stocked. Definitely recommend this place and we’re going back!

Set in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir and within view of the castle, less than 20 miles from Nottingham, The Paddock at Peacock Farm is a charming, family-run B&B / self-catering accommodations in a rural, picturesque location.

Breakfast at The Paddock has changed slightly as Nicky says 'after almost 40 wonderful years cooking breakfast for our guests, I have decided it is time to slow down slightly so while I will no longer be doing the cooking I will ensure (if opted) your stay is complete with plenty of breakfast items. We offer either a DIY breakfast hamper, cooked or continental, or simply a room only stay'.

Nicky and her sister Mandy also offer a variety of massages and holistic treatments in the ZenDen which comes with use of the hot tub - an alternative idea for hen nights or ladies breaks, birthday or anniversary treats! Nicky is more than happy to assist with any celebratory arrangements and can organize little extras such as afternoon tea / champagne and canopies / birthday cakes etc. Evening meals can be taken at one of the many local pubs or restaurants in the Vale, alternatively, guests are welcome to take advantage of the lovely conservatory and garden to enjoy their own food.

Whatever your reason for coming you are sure of the warmest of welcomes, we hope you find everything you could want to enjoy your time to the full and feel completely at home every second of your stay.

    Hi re dogs we have plenty of space around us but nowhere fenced in , we have big garden / field and bridlepath where is a good place to let off lead . Also we have an outside run if that helps . Nicky

    Yes you can have private use , may just be one other couple in so could just decide who wants to use when . They may not want to use not everyone does .

  • Hi we used to live in Grantham and are coming back to catch up with a number of different friends. We have two springer spaniels both well behaved. looking to book 13th Aug for 3 nights. We tend to come and visit every three months but thorns farm has changed to long term lets

  • We are looking for a 2 night stay on Fri/Sat 30/31st Oct. We have a puppy (he is house trained) and your advert doesn't make any reference to pets being allowed so I assume its not. I just wanted to check as it looks ideal for us. Many thanks, Debbie

    Hi Debbie , no prob re puppy I just make a charge of £5 a night.hopefully may see you Friday . You can take dogs in the village pub and other places but need to book ahead at moment . Regards Nicky

    The hot tub is fir everyone to use but not at the same time , only two other rooms . It usually works out fine as not everyone want to use .

Built in the early 90's by my father, the property was initially used as a family house, we then had an extension in 2005 when we sold our larger farmhouse up the lawn in order for me to continue my passion of providing accommodation, but on a smaller scale! Our quaint B&B is situated in the beautiful vale of Belvoir and is blessed with the most gorgeous views and walks of the surrounding countryside.

I have been in the industry for over 30 years and previous to my current little B&B I ran a 12 bed guest house and restaurant in the neighboring farmhouse- what memories and good times that place holds! I love meeting all our new guests, welcoming back the old and providing the warmest of stays.
