Perfect location, cosy accommodation, great facilities and a view of the Abbey.
United KingdomThis was our second stay at this apartment and yet again it surpassed our expectations in every respect. Very warm and comfortable, all the utensils you would need, location particularly good, very comfortable beds and central to Whitby and all that the town has to offer. We managed to park the car about a 5 minute walk away down an opposite road. We felt that the apartment was very good value. There are some steps up to the entrance and we are well into our sixties and they were not a problem. Also of importance was the preparation beforehand in accordance with covid advice that we really appreciated. As I stated this is our second stay and will definitely not be our last. Thanks Phil.
United KingdomHad everything you may need while away down to games for the kids books to read movies for rainy days . Central location to Whitby town and amenities. Ideal spot for a getaway
Canadacozy clean accommodation central to all facilities places to visit - location excellent for train and buses to travel around the surrounding areas

United KingdomLocation excellent. Well equipped, although could do with a little more lighting to put makeup on. Excellent facilities. lovely and clean and comfortable
United KingdomA lovely property, full of character and in a great location in the centre of town. It was ideal for a family trip.
United KingdomThe location was fantastic, being across from the bus/train station and free parking available within 500 yards. Although we ate out as we were only there 3 nights, the kitchen provided everything you need to prepare and cook meals. Easy to visit Staithes, Saltburn By The Sea, Runswick Bay, Robins Hoods Bay by walking and short car journeys.

Host Info
The Pebbles is set in Linskill Square, one of the traditional fisherman's yards in the historic town of Whitby and was featured on the BBC programme 'Secret Places of Britain'. It is in the town centre with easy access to nearby shops, restaurants and pubs. Both the train station and bus station are just over the road within easy walking distance. The Pebbles is a very cosy space over two floors, sleeps 4 and has all the facilities to help make your stay a comfortable one.
I;m Phil, married with 3 grown up boys. I have been born and bred in Yorkshire and have had a long association as a visitor to Whitby, leading to me buying the property now known as The Pebbles. I'm quite active and enjoy walks and cycling and will be more than happy to advise on routes and facilities in the local area. I also spend some of my time surfing the waves off the east coast and can advise on surf spots and hire. I am familiar with local golf courses and can also put you in touch with the local fishermen if a fishing trip is on your agenda.
Set in the heart of Whitby your never far away from events and activities that make this historic town a must in any ones travel plans. Live music can be found on most nights in one of the many public houses; there is a raft of eating experiences to be had from traditional seaside fish and chips to bistro gastronomy, Indian, Chinese, Thai, Turkish and Italian. Surrounded by the Yorkshire countryside Whitby is a great base to explore the North Yorkshire Moors whether on foot with many great walks, bicycle, ideal for venturing along the Cinder path between Whitby and Scarborough, car or the picturesque NY steam railway. Set on the coast it is also a place to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday with beach huts and deck chairs for hire, donkey rides on the beach and of course the amusements. If really feeling adventurous try your hand at surfing. Music is a big part of the scene in Whitby with festivals at various times through the year from Folk week in August, Motown and Soul weekends, 60's weekend and a whole variety of artists performing at The Pavillion. With the infamous Goth Weekend and Dracula mythology, Whitby really is a mix of the weird and wonderful.
