Check in and room were very good, in fact room 514 I loved, great bathroom, very good bed, loved the way the kitchen is doored off. quite spacious overall. Breakfast was excellent if a little slow to come, should have been offered more coffee in the interim. Loved the grounds and will be returning in the autumn to see the different colours. We may stop in the castell again or may even try the village.

Friendly staff Very good restaurant in the village and also for breakfast

The location is truly unique, the rooms in the village are all different and as you walk around the site every corner you turn shows another beautiful building. The room we had overlooked the bay, was large, comfortable and the view great. We ate at both restaurants on site and the fine dining was an experience. The site is quite hilly but you can order a lift in golf buggy and the staff were always helpful. The breakfast was really good. with cooked options and a buffet. There are extensive gardens and your not far from Snowdonia national park. Its quite expensive but I'm definitely coming back.

This is a magical place and is wonderful even if you are not a Prisoner fan. The uniqueness of the village and its placement into the environment is marvelous.

location … very unusual …Portmeirion is a very special place in a beautiful location. The staff were very accommodating and personable and professional.

our village suite was in a perfect location to enjoy the village (and easy enough to walk to the hotel for dinner and breakfast)

Beautiful architecture, well maintained village, excellent customer service, and good food. Once the village closes to the public the guests have the entire village to themselves!!

Location was great, staff were very friendly and helpful. Shuttles were available to get to and from the different parts of the hotel if needed. A fantastic breakfast. Dinner at the Brasserie was also excellent.

The rooms were large and comfortable. Make dinner reservations at the hotel restaurant in the village and select the 9 course chefs choice. It is an amazing variety of culinary delights!

It is quite expensive but its the sort of place you go to for a special treat. All staff are incredibly friendly. Fine dining in the hotel was exquisite. Breakfast was lovely. Free transport from one part to another was always on hand if needed. The buildings lived up to all the pictures but I hadn't realised just how beautiful the view across the estuary would be. Sadly we encountered the Welsh rain (in July :-( ) but it was a really relaxing weekend.
